A Medical Coding Specialist is a healthcare professional who works in the billing department of a healthcare facility. They assign specific codes to medical records and bills, classifying and filing each billed service. This process facilitates billing and reimbursement from health insurance companies and ensures the smooth functioning of the healthcare facility's billing system.
Medical assistants work in various clinical settings, assisting doctors and nurses in providing healthcare services to patients. This role offers numerous opportunities to develop specific clinical skills and advance one's career in the healthcare industry.
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you'll be responsible for protecting the security of networks and software systems and identifying and solving potential problems.
A Community Health Worker connects with the community to ensure that everyone can access essential health services and information. They play a vital role in improving overall health outcomes by bridging gaps in healthcare access and education.
A Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Learning prepares individuals for careers in human resources, training and development, project management, and organizational development. Graduates can lead teams, manage change initiatives, design training programs, and improve workplace performance. This degree enhances career prospects in various industries, including healthcare, education, government, and corporate sectors, and provides a strong foundation for further studies in business administration or leadership.
A CMA may perform a variety of clinical or administrative tasks during their day-to-day schedules. They may assist doctors and nurses with routine physical assessments, interact with patients or caregivers at the front desk of a healthcare facility or help patients with medical procedures and treatments.
A Master's in Human Resources and Organization Development prepares individuals for advanced roles in HR management, organizational development, and consulting. Graduates can work as HR managers, training and development managers, organizational development consultants, talent acquisition specialists, and employee relations managers. This degree equips professionals to lead change initiatives, design and implement training programs, improve organizational performance, and develop strategies for talent management and employee engagement.
Licensed Practical Nurse
LPNS perform basic medical tasks, including checking vital signs, start IV Fluids, feed patients, and maintain clear communications among the healthcare team and patient.
Registered nurses are healthcare professionals who support doctors and other medical personnel by performing a range of patient care duties. In addition to assisting with medical procedures, they aid the administrative team by helping to create and maintain patient's medical records. Their responsibilities include performing physical examinations on patients and evaluating the results, providing care to injured and sick patients, educating patients on their prescribed treatment plans and self-care, and supervising other medical professionals such as licensed nurses and nursing assistants.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree equips nurses with comprehensive clinical knowledge, advanced skills, and leadership capabilities, enabling them to provide high-quality patient care in diverse healthcare settings.
